Adrian Gonzalez traded to Red Sox

By MLBTR the Red Sox have sold Casey Kelly, Anthony Rizzo and Reymond Fuentes to the Padres for Adrian Gonzalez. Gonzalez, 28, hit .298/.393/.511 in 2010 and has slugged 30 or more home runs every season since 2007. When you take into account that he also managed to do that while playing in Petco Park, it’s an even better effort. This is a big winnings for the Sawx, as they’ve been trusting to get Gonzalez ever since they lost Mark Teixeira to New York. They still have to sign him to an extension, however.

Gonzalez is supposedly earning Ryan Howard money ($125M or more). He merits it, too.
