Teresa Scanlan is much more than the newest Miss America pomp champion. She's additionally a creator of history. The 17-year old from Gering, Nebraska was known as the youngest winner of all-time on Saturday evening, gaining the crown by playing "White Water Chopsticks" on the piano. She was the one competitor to neither sing nor dance.

A graduate student of Scottsbluff High School, Scanlan has won a $50,000 scholarship and may go to Patrick Henry College in the fall.
